Trauma Therapy
This beautiful bird looks to be at peace without a care in the world. That is how most of us appear to each other, especially if you are looking at our highlights on social media. Looks can be deceiving. Notice the small mark on the bird’s chest. What happened to him? How does he feel? We may never know—but he knows.
Have you encountered a trauma? Most of us don’t escape life without our share of them. We can help your heart and mind heal.
What is Trauma?
“Individual trauma results from an event, series of events, or set of circumstances that is experienced by an individual as physically or emotionally harmful or threatening and that has lasting adverse effects on the individual's functioning and physical, social, emotional, or spiritual well-being” (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, 2018).
